Today marks 19 years of marriage for me and my wonderful hubby! We'll celebrate by....doing nothing special. We don't usually exchange gifts or cards, and I have to work and go to class today, so it's really just business as usual. I know a lot of people go to a fancy dinner or trip to celebrate anniversaries, but we just don't do it. Some of my friends think that's odd, but I think some of the things they do are odd also, so it doesn't bother me in the least.

What about all my SA friends? Do you celebrate lean? or extreme? or somewhere in between?

I've been reading and learning from all the blogs here, and decided to join in. I've actually been thinking about it for awhile, and hoped to start out with just a basic intro and "where we're at", but I just found out my job will be eliminated at the end of the year, so I'm starting out on a rather negative note. And scared to death!

On the bright side, I STILL have 2 months to figure out Plan B. On the not-so-bright side, I ONLY have 2 months to figure out Plan B!! (I know, I know...that's more notice than lots of people get). But I've known this might be coming sooner or later, and have been looking for a replacement job with the same skills & salary for quite a long time and have come up empty.

So, anyhow, hello to all. I titled the blog "need to write about it", because I hope writing will relieve some of my frustration and stress. Many times I find writing down ideas and thoughts for someone else to read actually helps me tremendously because I have to make it organized and logical.
